The hardest part of all this is leaving you -- Summer 1989

Tonks and I had talked about me getting the job in Egypt.  I wanted to make sure I was able to say goodbye to her before I left.  It seemed like we were avoiding saying anything about what we were going to do about this.  I did not want her to wait around for me... the best thing would be to end our relationiship and keep in touch as friends.  But how on earth was I going to do that?  I never expected to feel thsi strongly about her when Charlie brought up me asking her... I ran a hand through my wavy hair and sighed.  I had no idea how to even start this conversation wtih her.

We had spoken about what we were going to do if and when Bill got a job in Egypt. It was saddening, but I knew it made him happy. So I was trying to push away my sadness to try to be happy for him because it is something I know he wants to do. Running my hand through my hair I met up with Bill. " Hey!" I said as I gave him a light peck.

She was quite cheery and it definitely made this that much harder yet put a smile on my face the instant I saw her.  "Hey," I said, glad that she always had this calming effect over me.  Made me much more bearable to handle with any circumstance.  "I didn't pull you away from any big plans, did I?" I asked her, feeling like a moron for beating around the bush.

Shaking my head, " no not at all.." I said with a smile. He seemed like he was being awkward, " What's going on?"
