Personality:  Liam is quiet at first, but can get quite animated when talking about his interests.  He has a hard time making friends because of his being a werewolf and what he went through as a child.  What Greyback put him through haunts him and it makes him keep his distance and he focuses on his studies.


Bio:

Before School Years:  Liam does not remember much from before he was bitten, but he and his twin brother were both bitten when they were six years old.  Liam and Hunter were inseparable.  They counted on each other for everything... even after they joined the pack with Greyback.  He had bitten them.  He made them into the beasts they were.  In the months before they turned ten years old, Greyback decided that he need only one of them.  Apparently having both of them made them weaker rather than stronger.  On one full moon, Greyback had locked the boys in a cage together and merely said to them, "May the best survive."  And that was it.  Liam still remembers the beast taking control and the two of them fighting.  He tore at his brother and Hunter bled out from his wounds.  They had fought all night... and when they changed back into the boys they were, all Liam could do was scream for help and apologize to his twin.  It tore him apart and Hunter died in his arms.  After that, Liam's heart hardened -- which had been the lesson Greyback wanted to enforce.

Then a newcomer came that summer:  Remus Lupin.  Even though he pretended around Greyback and the other adults, he acted different... he would show them magic and Liam told Lupin that he could do some magical things, but he stopped trying because of everything.  But he was capable of so much more.  Greyback almost got Liam to be proud of defeating his twin -- almost.  But the fact that Liam never looked at his reflection would mean that he would never be proud of what he did.  Remus only successfully got one child out of the pack and that was Liam.

The bearded man -- Dumbledore -- found a safe haven for Liam with this lady who was a professor at Hogwarts:  Minerva McGonagall.  Even though Liam was timid and wary at first, she started to help him get control of his outbursts before he was able to get to school the next year.

During School Years:  Though he was getting better with people, Liam's condition would get to him at times.  He excelled in Transfiguration and Potions.  He became good mates with Bill Weasley -- a fellow Gryffindor in his year.  Liam poured his heart and soul into his studies because it was very important to him to make his family proud -- and that meant the one he had lost from the entire ordeal and McGonagall.  Though the memory of his biological parents faded as the years went on, he never forgot Hunter.  He saw him every time he looked in the mirror and it broke his heart every single time. 

After School Years:  McGonagall - the woman who he considered a mother - always wanted to see him happy.  He never found a woman to marry.  He thought he did not deserve to be happy; he did not want to bring the terror of his monthly ordeal; he did not want to harm anyone else because of his lycanthropy.   McGonagall helped him find a career path that would help him and that would tolerate his being a werewolf.  Liam was greatly appreciative towards all the help he got because werewolf laws and registry were horrible. 

However, his dear mother continuously tried to get him to be happy with someone.  That was when she told him about Parvati -- it almost seemed like it was a last ditch effort.  She was ten years his junior... but when he saved her life during the battle at Hogwarts when Potter defeated Voldemort, something clicked.
