Not Worth It -- Early Spring 1997

I rolled my eyes.  I was just being sarcastic and of course Dean would think it a good idea.  "Honey... I doubt that would fly.  Though I would not object to it being an option as a place to cool down," I said, sighing.  "I'm just sick of people like her... one of these days, I will probably punch he in the face."  I wasn't going to keep taking her crap without a fight.

I sighed and shook my head at my fiance.  "At least you have Cassie... I mean, she's got to be on your side," I said, rubbing Addie between the shoulders.

I nodded, agreeing with Dean.  "She is... but I'm really trying not to make her get in the middle of everything.  It's not fair to her," I explained to him.  Did guys just not get that?

I shrugged slgihtly.  "Alright< I guess you have a point," I said, knowing that the girls thought that it was much better not to get people involved.  I thought it was best that I had as much back up as possible.

I did have a point and the fact that he barely acknowledged it told me he believed me to be right, he just did not want to say it.  "I've just got to let Morgan calm down... and then maybe I'll be able to deal with being in the same dorm as her," I said, shaking my head.

"If she gives you any mor ehell... send her my way," I said bitterly.  "I'll handle her."  I did not appreciate the way she was treating Addison.  I could see why she was doing it, but really?  It was uncalled for.

I gave Dean a look.  "We don't need you to start any fights," I warned, instantly getting a little scolding-like.  He would say that I reminded him of his mother, but it was true.

I rolled my eyes at Addison.  "Thanks for that... I don't need you to be telling me what I should or should not do, Addie," I poitned out to her.  I resisted the urge to say 'thanks mum' because that would start an argument.

why did he always get an attitude?  I took a deep breath and let it out slowly.  "Dean, don't pull an attitude with me," I said to him calmly.  "I'm just trying to make sure you don't get into any more trouble..."

I sighed, smiling at her.  "I'll behave, addie," I said, though I really did not want to.  I just wanted to make sure that Addison was okay.  She was my fiancee now and always had been the love of my life.

I was not entirely sure if I believed him, but whatever.  I had to give him the benefit of the doubt, right?  "Okay," I said with a smile.  "Let me handle this the way I feel fit... it'll all pass in time."

I sighed, nodding.  "Well... okay then," I said, rolling my eyes.  I still did not think that it was the best way to handle this at all.

I looked over at her.  "Don't take that tone with me," I said, knowing that she was disgruntled.  "Just let me be, love."

I grinned at her.  "I can take whatever tone I want with you," I pointed out.  "I still think that this needs to stop as soon as possible."

I rolled my eyes at him.  "Just quiet," I said.  I wanted to make sure that Dean knew to stay out of it.  "I think I'll go back to teh Hufflepuff common room and see if Ellie, Cassie, or Maisie are in there.  They're the nice ones."
