Bio:

Before School Years:  Penny was raised by just her mother and second husband; her father died when she was eight years old in a freak accident while working at the Ministry (in the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes).  Her parents had separated when she was only four years old and divorced not long afterwards.  Penny never fully understood what happened, but she ended up having two families... until her dad passed.  She loves her mother dearly and was determined to follow in her father's footsteps from the day she was born for he was rather smart and worked in a top position in the department he was in at the Ministry.  

During School Years:  Penelope became a Prefect during her fifth year at Hogwarts.  During her fifth year, she became quite good friends with Desdemona Quinn.  They had struck a friendship nearly the instant that Des was on the train.  During rounds on the train, Penny saw that Des seemed a little lost in her own lonely compartment.  Penelope ended up not completely her rounds to stay with Desdemona and help her with the change of schools.  Professor Flitwick did not mind hearing that she stopped rounds to help a fellow studennt, so she did not get in trouble for skirting her responsibilities.  Quickly, Des had confided in Penny that she was Remus's half sister from his mother's side.  That helped strengthened the bond that they had already started to share as Penny was his half-sister as well.  Penny helped Desdemona handle how to approach Remus.  She started dating Percy Weasley at the start of sixth year.  Having done rounds together quite often during fifth year, they struck a much closer friendship than ever before.  Then she decided to give him a chance when they were in sixth year.  She had top grades during her school career and was one of Professor Flitwick's favorite students.  Though she excelled in Muggle Studies due to her wanting to work in Muggle relations through the Ministry.  That was one thing that she had in common with Mr. Weasley... and something they could talk hours about.  It drove Percy mad when she had finally met his parents during graduation.

After School Years:  Penelope and Percy got married a couple of years after graduation when they were both settled in their careers.  They had not wanted anything to get in the way of their chances of getting to where they wanted to be since they were equally ambitious in their lives.  When they married, it was a small ceremony and Penny had wished that Percy would have let his family know.  she tried not to butt her nose in that mess... but when she found out she was pregnant and that everyone was getting along so nicely, she finally convinced Percy to make amends with his family.  She did try to keep in touch with Molly and Arthur as much as possible without Percy knowing due to the fact that she knew that they would want to know that he was doing well for himself.  And she kept in touch due to the fact that they were family and she wanted to know as much about them as they did about Percy.

Penelope was quite overjoyed when everyone finally got back together in the Weasley family -- she just wished that it did not take something as large as the Battle of Hogwarts for them to do so.  And even then things were still rocky with the brothers and Ginny.  Everything did end up working out for the best.  Penny had stayed behind to watch over the kids while the others went to fight in the battle.  She was glad that she did.

How dare Parker leave his mum unattended... you must be so lonely in here *winks*

Please, Dec... we're the Weasleys.  Everyone just becomes family decently quick.
