I had gotten word of some disturbing news about my two daughters.  They were now into liking boys -- which I knew would one day happen, unfortunately.  But it was not necessarily the fact that they liked boys that was bothering me.  it was the boys they liked.  Serenity liked a boy who was six years older than her and Victoria liked a boy a few years older than her.  I needed to talk to Elena about this... did she even know?  Probably.  Our daughters did seem to talk to her -- and if she did know, then why did she not tell me?  I found Lenni and had to attempt to keep my cool about this.  "We need to talk.  It's about our daughters," I said seriously.

I looked over to George as he looked quite bothered. I put my book down. " What's the matter?" I asked him with my eyebrows raised. This is usually meaning they have done something and now I am suppose to cover them? I didn't know. " Sit down though you're making me nervous..."

I shook my head.  "I can't sit down," I said, waving off her notion and started pacing.  I stopped and turned to face my wife.  "Do you know what they're doing?  I don't even know which one to address first... Tori or Ren."  I started to pace again.  When I got anxious, I normally could not sit still.  And this was definitely one of those times.  These older guys were taking advantage of my little angels -- well, they were not necessarily angels, but they were compared to these older boys that were trying to get in their pants or something.  Why else would they want someone younger than them if not for their naivete?

I had to bite the insides of my cheeks, " No, but I am assuming it has to do with boys otherwise you wouldn't be this anxious..." I pointed out. " Sit down and talk to me....fidget or something I just need you to be in one place for me to easily understand...and follow..it's harder to do when you move constantly....." I wondered why the girls didn't tell me about whatever had him so nervous.

I sighed and sat down, knowing I could easily drive Lenni nuts when I panicked like this.  I ran a hand through my hair and sighed again before being able to gather my thoughts so they would flow together nicely.  "You're right; it has everything to do with boys -- well, men if we want to be more exact," I said, huffing about that fact.  "I will not reveal my source, but our daughters are dating older guys.  I know, I know -- that's what we did.  But we were different because it just is.  Tori is at least dating someone with an age difference like us -- only a few years.  But Ren?  She's dating someone quite a few years older!  I believe they said he's Seth's age.  That is much too old for her.  To be honest, even Tori's age difference bothers me."  I knew Lenni would not be as on edge about this as I was.

Raising my eyebrows, " Well, I don't know what to say. Normally they come to us with these things....well, me with this type of thing....and the age difference hunny....we did the age difference and they know we have an age difference...as long as they treat them well, what is the main concern you have?" I asked him. Trying to get him to think logically. " It's not as though we can tell them they can't date these boys...you and I both know that will make them more appealing. "

I really did not want to think logically about this like Lenni was doing.  "I was their age once, too.  I know what those guys are probably thinking -- and I will not allow them to take advantage of our girls," I said simply.  There was no way that was going to happen.  "I already have my sources looking into it for me to figure out different things to meddle and make sure nothing happens... but I beleive we still need to talk with them."  How was I going to talk to the girls without blowng up at them?

" So you're saying you took advantage of me then?" I asked him, knowing this was the way he would cool down at least. If I pulled us into the mix. " Yes we were there age once....Also, I will tell Josh and Jake to leave them alone....you gave it away...." I pointed out. " If you think we need to have a talk with them...what do you suggest we do?..we can't lock them away. Believe it or not babe, boys notice the girls and whether you like it or not. They will notice boys. I noticed you....you were older than me. I am surprised I managed to speak to you when I was there age. "

I laughed slightly.  "You didn't seem nervous talking to me," I assured her.  In fact, the first hello she stole my heart -- I just might not have known it right away.  "And how do you know it's not Seth, Quinn, or Lauryn?"  I really wished Parker was still i nschool.  I would have someone else on my side.  Of course, it was indeed the twins, but I had to try to get Lenni off their trail.  Though, they would listen to me over her anyways -- they did not want them to date, either.  "Well, no, I didn't take advantage of you because I behaved myself.  But not every guy does that.  And us gingers are a little crazy -- so I can see the girls pushing things thinking they're ready to do things even if they really aren't because that's what the guy wants."  I begged to differ that we could lock the girls away, but I knew better than to mention that to Lenni.

I had to psych myself up to it. " I had to practice to think of words to say....it petrified me to know that I was putting myself out there and it could end badly for me.." I told my husband, not actually sure if I had ever spoke to him about any of my doubts. Raising my eyebrows, " Because you have your go to people....which is the twins first..." I said pointedly knowing I was right once he defended that assumption of mine. " Besides, I wouldn't have known it was them until two seconds ago." I said making a point of that as well. " Well, then that's how you talk to them...let them know only to do things when they're ready. They are smart girls...they're not going to want to do things if it makes them feel uncomfortable anyway..." I told him trying to reassure him that the girls are not just going to jump into something they don't want too. " Remember they have my temper.."

"I know all too well that they have your temper," I pointed out.  I learned that one when they were about barely two years old.  Talk about the terrible twos for sure.  I sighed adn shook my head.  "Well, you played off your nerves quite nicely.  Here I thought that you would have thought me to be some creepy older kid wanting to just shag or something..."  I smiled at her.  I knew she was right about the girls... they were smart, but that did not mean that I had to like what they were doing.  I would still have hte twins looking out for them.  I needed eyes and ears inside the castle as well as inside the house.  Caellum would be the eyes and ears while at home... but at school, I wanted someone other than their brother since they would expect him.

Laughing remembering some of the fits they had. " Oh yeah, they can get mad if they want too. " I told him, " I have to say it is the first time I have seen toddlers use magic....or at least that amount of magic." I teased, " No, that was my dad's job....remember....he was the over protective one that thought the same thing you are doing right now...do you want to know what it made me do....stop talking to him about things like this and going to mum. I know she told him stuff that I told her, but I was afraid to tell him things. He would think I was some helpless little doll. Who needed to be saved all the time. I know they're the little girls, but babe...trust me..they will tell you about them. Give them time."

I hated when she used logic against me.  I could not argue with logic.  I sighed.  "I know they're strong and can handle themselves... but I miss when they needed me to protect them.  And you know I'll never stop doing that.  i only have their best interests at heart -- and I'm not sure certain boys they're interested in do," I added, making my point.

Smiling, " Aw...that is so sweet!" I just loved when he went all sentimental on me. When he went into the little pouting mode. It made him adorable, I moved from my seat to his as I sat on his lap. " You know, they will always need you. Just not checking the monsters under the bed for them anymore....you'll always be their number guy." I reassured him.

I shrugged, not entirely sure if I agreed with Lenni.  "I don't know about that.  They don't come to me for anything aymore -- it's either you or one of the aunties," I pointed out.  I knew that was just a girl thing -- espeically with their ages -- but stlil.  I would like to feel needed every now and again by my daughters.
