Father's love, Daughter's Rebellion. -TBD

I ran down the stairs with my father at my heels. "Dad, I'm not going to leap into his arms....Relax. I am just going to the movies with him....Mum and aunt Lily go all the time!" I said loudly as I turned the corner. " I am only wearing jeans and a tank top! It's not as though I am NAKED! " I finished yelling trying to escape my father, but he spends a lot of his time in this place so he was an annoying rival when trying to get away from him. " It's just a date!" I finished, yelling in frustration. Mum always tells me Dad and I are alike and sadly I see it now. We are both stubborn as hell.

I growled after her, " What do we know about this boy?" I asked her. " What are his parents like?" I asked again it seemed like I had a list of questions. Well, she is my little girl Of course I'm going to ask. " Please just go change your self. Her pants were far to tight, and her shirt left nothing hidden. The way I knew it should be. Ember would tell me I'm being unreasonable, I didn't see it that way. I saw it as being a worried father, of course I wasn't just going to let some boys hit on my daughter I knew what boys that age wanted. I was a manwhore when I was younger. I couldn't believe it when I heard she was asked on a date and said yes. That Em had agreed to this. " EMBER?! " i said loudly wanting my wife's reasoning as to why she could just where that. I sighed knowing it was no good. My daughter would go with the boy to wherever they were going. I was not impressed. Can you ust tell me where it is your going?" I asked to receive a death glare from her. " No...." she said in a quiet tone. I pouted a little bit, I do not like this at all. " Are they like my parents ...well family?" I asked knowing that it was the wrong thing to say.

I whipped around to glare at him, " Do you really think that if he seemed like that I wouldn't have agreed to go on the date?!" I said. I couldn't believe him, was I really that desperate to get a date that I'd date someone I couldn't stand. " come on dad give me some credit alright?" I said angrily. " This doesn't seem like something I would do, does it?" I asked him as I was looking at my shoe collection as I decided what to go with it. I picked my black heels. Nothing that says snog me silly. But needless to say this is the third date I have been on with the same guy and I do like him. He's really a great guy. Would I tell my father that....nope.

I figured I would go over to Elena's house. I mean, I didn't figure I was going on a date, we pretended we didn't know each other so we could get out easier although it might have been easier for her if they said Oh, I'm just going to the movies with Will....I mean, of course I would be threatening to Sirius because I am a dude. But not that kind of dude. As mum says I am like Dad. So I suppose that's a good thing. I just had a pair of jeans and a t-shirt with a jacket on. nothing fancy which was good. I said goodbye to my parents and left heading to Elena's ready for whatever could head our way.

Just looking out the window to see who on earth could be coming for my little girl. I felt my skin crawl, no way was my little girl going out with some loser. I would not allow that, no way no how. Ember told me I was being unreasonable I didn't care. I stood by the window looking out when i noticed a figure coming. It was the boy....I strode over to the door as I waited for him as I pulled the door open and was froen with words.

I Heard the door open and my father made some inaudible noises. " Come in!" I shouted to the most likely Will. I had finished getting ready changing my outfit into my converse, skinny jeans, with a bandeau top with a lace top over it then a fedora to top it off. " Dad..." I said as my father just stared from me to Will. Making odd noises. " MUM!! Dad is BROKEN!!" I said to her. " I am OFF!! WE WILL BE BACK AFTER THE MOVIE!!" I let her know because I wasn't sure when dad was going to wake up. Grabbing my coat, we took off before thankfully he woke up.

I had purposely.kept busy while sirius tried to attempt to understand our little.girl was grown up. When I heard them leave I yelled after them. "be careful! And you know when you need to be home. Have fun kids!" I went into the living room where sirius was.standing slack jawed. "honey, it's going to be okay."

" why didn't I know this? .....when did she and ...will get close ? Why, how, when? " I shook my head looking over to her. Since when is she dating....i whispered as I collapsed into the nearest chair. My baby girl was not so baby girl anymore and it seemed to just fly by. I turned into my regular protective self. Do Remus and Chloe know about this? I asked, " am i going to have to talk to them with you? " this was just something i never figured would have happened. " when did she grow up?" i looked over to my wife who was smiling at me.

All I could do was smile. "Honey, Chloe and I talk about them all the time," I said, putting a hand on his shoulder. "A lot happened while you were gone." I still talked about it as if he had been away on business. "They've been together for a little while now... so don't you worry about it," I said. I had tried to cover for Elena for long enough... it was time both her and her father understood each other without me being the middle man.

So they left on purpose before I woke myself up. " they have?" I said sadly. My little girl was growing up, and with what Peter did. He is the reason I missed so much of my children's childhood. There were things I wouldn't and didnt get to see. I sighed, " at least we know him and his parents..." I said as I continued to pout

I couldn't help but laugh a little bit. "Honey, you know as well as I do that Remus is a man of caution. So you know that he has had at least one good talk to his son about behaving," I said, walking around Sirius and rubbing his shoulders. "Just think, though... you could actually be related in a small way to your other best friend like you were with my brother," I added, hoping to shed a little light on the situation. Then I mentally kicked myself. I knew I could talk about Lily and James without thinking about what happened... but I hadn't really talked to Sirius about them before due to the fact I figured he just wasn't ready. I mean, I still talked to them almost every week... I visited their graves whenever I went to see my parents. Just something I enjoyed doing since Mum and Dad didn't get to see any of our children be born or us married... or anything.

I pouted a bit, " I know he would have had a talk. That doesn't mean he listened. " I said as I went back to scowling as she stood behind me. " she is my little girl..." I said turning to the floor. " the little girl who wanted me to kill the big bugs. To fix her scrapes..now she's dating our best friends son....i am used to being the most important man in her life. Seems I just missed that stage..." i heard her say be related like we were with prongs. I never really ever have a good nights sleep. It would just be me seeing everything. I felt my eyes start to water. " you know I see them when I go sleep....badly. Just the house destroyed....things everywhere...." I stopped talking as I slouched forward putting my head in my hands. I broke. I just had to cry.

I hugged him close. I hadn't meant to upset him. I really hadn't. "Honey, I'm sorry," I said, my own voice breaking a little bit. He was going to bring me to tears myself. I could only hold him. I hadn't seen the wreckage. Sirius didn't want me to... "Sirius... you know that you'll always be Elena's number one man," I whispered into his ear. "And now that you're home... maybe things won't be as hard," I added, kissing his cheek and wiping some of the tears away. I knew this had to be so difficult for him. With everything that Peter had taken away from him...from us.

I am not a person to break down and cry. I sniffled, " I see them all the time ..." I mumbled as she hung onto me. I couldn't believe. It. Prongs and lily are really gone.....i didnt know what to do.

I didn't know what to do... I wish I would've watched my mouth. He didn't have time to grieve... he didn't have time for anything. I loved him with all my heart, but I hoped that Azkaban didn't change him too much to where he would never be the same again in a bad sense. I knew that it would change him... everything can change a person. I just hoped on the inside he was still my Sirius. "I'm so sorry," I said again, a tear falling down my cheek to see him like this. All I could do was be there and hold him.
